Corporate Organization and History

International Trucking School, Inc., was developed with a commitment to excellence in education and training for entry level tractor trailer drivers. International Trucking School was established as a duly authorized corporation, chartered by the State of Michigan in March 1990.  Since that time, I.T.S. has been licensed and fully recognized by the State of Michigan.

The corporation recruits training for private individuals, rehabilitation clients, clients from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, MI Works participants and various other agencies.

Philosophy

International Trucking School, Inc., endeavors to offer quality instruction to enable a

student to be trained and employed in as short a time as possible.  The school assumes a responsibility for instilling a respect for work and a sincere regard for the benefits accrued from application of the skills learned.  The school understands that each student has individual needs.

The school is an equal opportunity school, which is dedicated to a policy of nondiscrimination in employment, and training.  Qualified student applicants or employees will not be excluded from any course or activity because of age, race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, or qualified disability.  All students have equal rights to counseling and training.

Job Placement

The school will help graduates to locate suitable employment. I.T.S. does not guarantee employment but stands ready to assist graduates in their job search. I.T.S. offers placement assistance for an unlimited amount of time provided that:

  1. A two month lapse in employment has not occurred.
  2. A student was not dismissed from previous employment for any reason which would prohibit future employment in the trucking industry.

With the student's written consent on the disclose and release form, information on the student's demonstrated performance will be made available to potential employers.
